In 1969, a music festival was successfully held at Woodstock that it attracted 400,000 people over three days. You can visit the dairy farm where it was held or hike Overlook Mountain.

Roxbury is home to the Jay Gould Memorial Church and several other sites that are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Windham is the state’s winter wonderland that hosts various sporting events throughout the year.

Finally, Kingston is known to be America’s best place for artists and was the state’s first capital in 1777.

Transportation to Catskill is through a car, or a bus or train ride. The fastest way to reach Catskill is by car through the route I-87 and I-84. But if you choose to go there by bus, you can ride the Adirondack/Pine Hill Trailway bus service. A train ride in both Amtrak and Metro-North trains can also be chosen. Afterwards you can haul a taxi to Catskills.

Catskills is the best destination for both summer and winner. You can ski during winter at the Hunter Mountain and on summer you can hike and raft the Hudson River. Aside from that, you can also do other things.

For those who love a good adventure, you can try the Pratt Rock, Minnewaska State Park, and Shawangunk Mountains. Opus 40, Kaaterskill Falls, and Howe Caverns offer majestic views. For history geeks the Olana State Historic Site and Thomas Cole National Historic Site is a good choice. While those who are into artifacts and interactive exhibits can visit the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
